Cuttings of roses

Soft cuttings are prepared from the green and soft wood of the plant at the end of the flowering season.
Usually, the length of these cuttings is about 10 cm. There are at least two or three leaves on the cuttings that you should cut off. Another type of cuttings are wooden or wooden cuttings that are separated from the stems that do not have flowers at the end of the flowering season. These stems should be at least 15 to 20 cm high. The cut at the end of the cutting should be slanted and from below the node, i.e. the place where the leaf joins the stem. Using a sharp, sterile knife, cut the bark from 15 mm below the bud, so that only a little of the woody part of the stem is left under the bud. Continue cutting to 15 mm above the bud and remove the skin. In this way, the scion becomes pointed in the shape of an oval.
Cut the leaves on the cutting and it is necessary to leave about 1-2 cm of their petioles on the cutting.
Make a T-shaped slit on the base branch with a sharp knife. Then insert the scion through this gap into the bark of the base plant.
Put the scion completely in the gap and only the bud and petiole are outside.
With the help of a tape or plant glue, close the grafting place of the dahlia flower so that the cutting and the base plant can fuse together better.
